We have been seeing American Robins here along the Texas midcoast since the last week of December. The number has been growing the last three weeks and today (Sunday, Feb, 18th) as
we drove around this part of town there were many Robins in the yards, bushes, and trees. Driving about two miles to church at
8:30 am and then returning again after a wedding lunchen at 1:30 pm we saw a minimun of 5 Robins in yards with maximums of 25 in most yards and still building. There were low flights of fifty to a hundred flying down the streets and filling in and chasing away small groups. We got to drive thru a neighborhood that is rectangluar, about four miles by two miles. And we saw several thousand Robins doing their run and check and run and check. Some sat in trees with a grunting call, other sat higher
up in trees and sang with a song that had more feeling and at least got our attention. The rogins were still in neighborhoods across towm today and were enjoying the 76 degee tempera
