The current Rufous Hummingbird season has been odd. It started very
slow but has kept churning out a bird every now and then. There are
currently four Rufous Hummingbirds present in the state that I know
about. I assume most of these birds will try to overwinter given the
late date and mild winter. But, who knows.

The homeowners who are hosting an adult male Rufous Hummingbird are
receptive to visitors. They live about two miles west of Lanesville in
Harrison County
