Red-winged Blackbird (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/04/2007

Number: 1

On our hike today we were rewarded with so many spring sites! First huge flocks of red-wing blackbirds chirped at our passing, there were hundreds hanging out in trees and bushes. Then, the main reason for our hike, a man made flooded area especially for water fowl, mostly still frozen, hundreds of ducks and canadian geese were taking off, flying around and landing again.
