All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/01/2007

Number: 1

When I was walking in front of our school at 9:30 am I saw about a dozen robins in the yard of the house across the street. They were walking around the yard and were very busy eating whatever they could find in the grass. It was wonderful to see so many in a small location. The day was bright and sunny and the temperature was in the upper 60's. My students and I were delighted to see them. In addition to the blooming azaleas and red bud trees they were the first signs of spring we have noticed here near the coast of Georgia.
