My husband and I were out taking a late afternoon stroll and heard one lone robin chirping. Excitedly I said, "I hear a robin!" We stopped, looked around and saw just one robin sitting in an oak tree. It was a variably cloudy day, windy, brisk and about 20 degrees. What a pleasant sight and sound. I've heard they are back in our area but this is the first robin I've seen or heard this year. In 2006 I first saw groups of them in our neighborhood in mid-February.
"Zeeup". I just listened to the Journey North robin sounds. The migration sound of "Zeeup" is what caught my attention to the robin's presence in our neighborhood.
