Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/09/2007

Number: 1

The second graders at Morgan Elementary report that thier 100 tulip bulbs have emerged. The weather has been very cold throughout February but a slight warm spell last week brought the tulips out of the ground. Today the expected high will be 60 degrees. That is the highest temperature of 2007 to this date. We are looking around our countryside for other signs of spring. Two students reported seeing groundhogs last weekend in their backyards. We also have had a large migration of Robins here. In some places at least 200 in a farmer's field or a lawn has been reported.
