All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/10/2007

Spring has definately sprung. My Redbuds are in bloom. Pollen drifts lazily like a soft yellow blanket upon the rising waters of the Cumberland River, flanked by the soft new greens of the Willows, and my Phoebes have returned, greeting me at sunrise this morning with their song. Mine of course, do not know that they are suppossed to be here all year, but then again I am only 12 miles from the Kentucky border. They rear their young each year in the vines that cover a corner of my old schoolhouse. I am especially glad to see them as I have already removed a tick from my arm and woke up to a Mosquito in my living room!
