Whereas I already heard several robins singing from a different locale yesterday evening, this was the first one from my yard, and it just happened! I had just been watching a quite-plump male robin enjoying my birdbath when about ten minutes later I heard what was probably the same bird singing its lovely evensong from somewhere in the woods behind my house. It's wonderful to hear birds singing just before sunset again!
