Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/15/2007

Number: 1

The winter has been very strange this year. In New Jersey we have been experiencing the warmest December and January ever. Our tulip bulbs are very confused. First the weather is warm (60 degrees F), then we had a very severe ice and snow storm, temperatures dropped to the teens. The tulips that we planted last year, emerged about a month ago. After the snow storm they began to grow again. On Wednesday, March 14th, 3 of this years bulbs just began to emerge. Today March 16th it is snowing again. We are hoping that this will not confuse our bulbs. They are predicting warmer weather for next week.
