Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/09/2007

Number: 1

My son Mark spotted a faded monarch flying past from south to north on this warm day. Our native milkweed Asclepius viridis is still not sprouting - at least not that we can find so far. It's been dry here recently, but rains are on the way. That should help with the milkweed and wildflowers. We really look forward to the monarchs nectaring and laying their eggs soon!
