I was out looking for butterflies on the mountain laurel in my front yard when the first Monarch I've sighted this year blew past, pretty much east to west. A large, bright specimen.
Western Guadalupe County, IH 35 x 1103, Thursday, March 15, 3 pm; sunny, clear afternoon, 79 degrees.
