Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/17/2007

Number: 1

The monarch egg I found Thursday in Houston after the torrential 6" rain on Wednesday had hatched when we got up yesterday morning! What we see down here is a 4-day egg cycle, so I'd assume it was laid some time on Monday and that I just missed it on my previous searchs, or it was laid later in the day and survived the amazing buckets of rain.
