Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/19/2007

Number: 1

One Monarch observed at Emily Ann Theatre, 5:20 to 5:30 pm

It was browsing on a Hill Country plum tree, a recently planted sapling.
Other plum trees around Wimberley have finished flowering. This specimen has passed its peak.

Norm R says two women claimed to have seen 2 monarchs on March 14, which had fog and mist until 5 pm. Not exactly butterfly weather.
