Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/17/2007

Number: 1

March 17
Starting to see larger groups of Monarchs flying North.

March 21
I have lived in San Miguel for about 9 years and have watched the Monarchs a lot. The late fall is when I see most of the Monarchs. I live across the street from a park and the trees at night will be full of them. They move on the next morning. San Miguel is only about 50 miles as the crow flies from two large wintering places. I have been to both of them in the state of Michoacán and it is spectacular. I will continue to post from time to time, I usually do not see many in the morning but sitting on my terrace right now I have seen 30-40 since I started writing this update.
