Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/21/2007

Number: 1

Dark green shoots have begun to emerge above the ground. We noticed some red stripes, too. Not all of the plants can be seen. The tips of the plants are sharp.

When we measured them one was so small we could barely measre it at a half centimeter tall. The biggest one we found was two inches or six centimeters.

Since it is still cold in Rhode Island we may need to wait a little longer for the rest of them to sprout. Some rain and warm Sun will help them grow. We'll be sure to check Monday. The weather report says some warm weather is coming. We hope so!
