The children were so excited just to get outside and after one person spotted the first sprouted plant they all ran around the perimeter of the garden looking for more. I estimate that about one third of the bulbs have emerged. This is great news because I was afraid that the large local squirrel population might dig up many of the bulbs. There is litte evidence of any rodent damage. It is terrific to see the children's excitement in this long term project.
