Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/18/2007

Number: 1

On the Cunningham Ranch, Kay and I searched a 2 acre pasture on the banks of the Rio Grande and found 26 milkweed plants with 19 eggs. One plant had 5 eggs on it, which could indicate that it's possible that 5 female monarchs had passed in the last 3 days.

Editor's Note: Because the presence of eggs means an adult monarch has traveled here we are adding this sighting to the migration map.
