I was fascinated watching these birds dive under the water and come up so far away from where they first went under.
In trying to photograph them, they seemed not as skittish as some of the other water fowl in this area.
My only dissapointment was that the lighting was not as good as I would've liked it to be. Too gray out.
I did have the opportunity to watch this common Loon during a thunder storm. He let his whole body drop under the water but kept his head just above.
They are here again today and I am hoping to get some sun and another opportunity to take a better photo before they head on their way.
