First Monarch searching around flower beds on a warm sunny late evening. My wife and I both observed it as is passed in front of us coming from a blooming flower bed (mostly pansies) toward the porch where we were sitting. It did not land so we could photograph it but instead flew up and over the top of the house. Wish I could be more helpful, but I am more than reasonably sure that the observation is valid.
