We just returned from our Spring Break holiday and found out our tulip bulbs emerged on March 17 (St. Patrick's Day). Today we visited our garden. We were surprised at how big our tulips were. We saw some buds and some were getting big. They were a reddish, yellow color. The temperature today was 11 C. Our soil temperature was 5 C. We measured our tulips. The tallest one was 12 cm. and the shortest was 1 cm.
