Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/23/2007

Number: 1

With the weather so unseasonly-like, the tulip bulbs began to emerge about a 6 weeks ago. We only saw 3. We then had a major snow storm on February 14th which buried the tulip garden. As the snow began to melt we didn't see anymore tulips emerging. On March 16th we had an ice storm and our garden was again covered with snow and ice. By Friday, March 23rd the snow had again melted. There were still our original 3 emerging bulbs. Today, Monday, March 26th, our crossing guard counted 40 emerging bulbs.
