Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

A single monarch larva was observed on Asclepias viridis yesterday afternoon (March 28) at the Choctaw Trails site in southwest Jackson, MS. Earlier in the day hatching was observed in specimens collected from this site and maintained in the lab. I have been posting images of the eggs and now the larva daily at the Clinton Community Nature Center website, http://www.clintonnaturecenter.org/Default.htm
