On March 7, 2007 we noticed that our first tulips emerged from the ground. The soil around our tulips was very stiff and the ground cracked when our tulips emerged. Now (March 30th) most of the tulips we planted have emerged and are at least two to three inches tall.

We observed the tulips and drew sketches of them in our science notebooks. We predict that they will start blooming anytime in the next month.
