All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/30/2007

Number: 1

Mr. Frog crawled out of the water once again, he had been out just before that wicked snow storm that hit this area 2 weeks ago. Lot of buds are swelling out, the maples have big fat red one, crocus are blooming, daffodils have buds, the winter honeysuckle is blooming again, it had bloomed some in January with all that warm weather, I am surprised that the buds didn't freeze when the weather turned so cold. The redwings have passed through, the goldfinch had disappeared over the winter but now have returned and the males are changing from their drab olive yellow to the bright yellow of springtime, wonder why nature designed them to change that way, lots of birds, like the cardinal, do not.
