I was supply teaching in the nearby community of Marmora and I saw my first turkey vulture soaring so beautifully over the rock cuts along Highway 7 just after lunch. The weather today is clear, sunny, and about 6C. The sap is running very well today. It really feels like spring. IT's always a welcome sight when the turkey vultures return to the area - they may not be the most beautiful birds up close but not many can top them with their flight!
