We witnessed what appeared to be about 50 adult Whooping Cranes flying overhead. They actually circled our house for almost 5 minutes then contiued north in a semi circle pattern. It was INCREDIBLE!!! We are located about 37 miles south of Salt Lake across Lake Utah from Provo. There are wetlands about 5-6 miles to the north. I only wish I had been able to snap a photo but we were all standing there with our mouths open. WOW.
