In putting out a corn & sunflower seed mix, I've attracted a large flock of red-winged blackbirds.(red-winged blackbirds are a sure sign of spring around here too!) On March 17 there were approximately about 100 red-winged blackbirds... an unbelievable sight! It was amazing to see our white, snow-covered backyard "peppered" with all these birds!
