Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/04/2007

Number: 1

First Generation One hatchling released on April 4th at 4:30 in the afternoon! This is an egg I collected in Houston and had been carrying around with me as a pupa. I went to Denton to speak at a Nature Writers' Conference sponsored by North Texas University. I clipped the leaf he was on to the truck mirror with a bulldog clip and left the windows down a large crack. He hadn't hatched at 12:30, but by 4 was all dried out and ready to fly!
