All Other Signs of Spring

I'll have to look more closely to identify the type of hummer. I heard one on Saturday, March 31, but I actually saw it on Monday, April 2. In 2006 I first sighted one on April 9, so this little guy was a week early. I'll bet he's wishing he stayed in Mexico a little longer because we are receiving a light snow today. The feeders which I filled earlier in the week were frozen this morning, so I emptied them and refilled them with homemade syrup, adding a little more sugar in hopes to keep the poor little guy from freezing.

Editor's note: Broadtail hummer
