Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/07/2007

Number: 1

Holding at 39 dF, had flurries between 2:00 and 3:00, almost one inch of rain so far, expecting 36 in Victoria in the morning. We saw four different monarchs yesterday, eggs and larve in the backyard. There will be some chilled monarchs in the morning. Those of you that know where native milkweed patches are with plants at least three inches tall and get temps below 30 dF, let us know how they look next week ... did they survive (or not) the freeze ... what variety.
Thank you.

The corn around here is all about knee high, maize has a good stand, and soybeans and cotton are up. The freeze line will stay north of our part of I-10 as long as the rain keeps up all night.
