I live in PA and saw my first Robin during the warm spell here, about three weeks past. I was at my mother's apartment in Baltimore County this Easter Sunday and observed to my eyes a most unusual site. She has 2 Robins in the back of her place, which is a very nice lawn where she throws out seed and bread. I observed a Robin eating the crunchy crackers and leftovers that someone from an apartment above her threw out. I was amazed, I have never witnessed my Robins here in PA even come close to eating anything like that. Do Robins eat crackers? If I had known this, I would have thrown such food out during these very cold days when nothing is available to them.
