First robin sighted in our backyard is a female with the duller colored head and breast. She was first on the ground pecking it, presumably looking for food, worms. Then she flew into the cottonwood tree and was joined by another robin (gender unknown). The female had stayed long enough, scoping the entire yard, for me to take a few snaps with my camera.
