Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 04/07/2007

Number: 1

First really big wave of robins in town on this unseasonably cold weekend. The coldest first 10 days of April in the last 30 years with temps averaging 11 degrees below normal every day.

100 plus robins (male and females) hanging out at the corner ("Northern Trail Park")mostly poking around the grass (that still has snow in the shady areas) and hoping to find any worms that might have thawed out enough to eat.

The robins have remained there all weekend braving the strong northerly winds, and may have to do their best to find some shelter as we brace for 3-6 inches of snow that is predicted for Tuesday night (April 10)!
