The tulips were planted late in the fall. We had a bit of a cold spell, and then a warm day where the ground softened up again and the temps rose into the 50s. I planted the tulips in three different locations. 6 were planted in a row running south to north along the eastern side of the well house. 6 were planted in a clump in an area on the SE side of a garden with a large spruce stump in the center where they get morning and midday sun. 4 were planted running east to west along a culvert access grate where they will get mid and late-day sun. Both the well house and stump gardens will be used to dump snow as it is shoveled this winter.
