Monarch oviposition continues at the Choctaw Trails site in southwest Jackson, MS. Two females were observed laying eggs on green milkweed, Asclepias viridis, yesterday afternoon and several dozen fresh eggs were found yesterday and today. The females were in good condition, and may represent second generation migrants from Texas. Several larvae maintained in captivity here in Clinton have pupated as of this afternoon; eggs for these were found on March 23.
