HUGE flock!
After looking in the Bourget, Cobb Lake, Riceville areas in vain,
finally located a huge flock of up to
100,000 Greater Snow Geese at the St. Isidore (
45° 23' 06" N - 74° 54' 20" W)
lagoons, around 14h.00 on Wednesday, 11 April. Two cells were
carpeted with the geese & more were flying overhead. After about
thirty minutes, most took off & broke up into "smaller" flocks
(generally flying south & west of St. Isidore). They left behind a
handful of Canada Geese & ducks, including a pair of Redhead, Gadwall,
Green-winged Teal, & other regulars.
