I had seen a couple of robins in Edmonton earlier in the year (March 2 / 07) when it was -20C, at the ground of the University of Alberta. However I have heard that these may be a couple of year-round residents (if I were them, I would have left! ha ha!). The ones I saw on April 11 were in a tree in our river valley, and those would count most as first sightings. They were sitting silently - not singing at all.
