All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 04/17/2007

Number: 1

At last, a few more signs that spring is right around the corner-albeit a very wide corner!!! The catbird showed up in the garden, also a chipping sparrow and an unidentified warbler. the female cardinal was seen seeking nesting material, as were the house sparrows. The forsythia are open, the nanking cherries are also opening. Lots of little plant noses poking through the earth, and several shrubs starting to leaf out. If it ever gets warm there will be an EXPLOSION!!!!! of growth. The juncos are still here. Daffodil blooming and the tulips are ready to pop.
