Barn Swallows, despite the NW and NE winds, are working their way north quite rapidly. I am seeing 30-50 a day flying over my banding station at Tomkoa State Park in Ormond Beach, Florida along with similar numbers of Tree Swallows. They are flying quite high and rapidly. I expect, as soon as the winds make some shifts, I will see many more heading north.
