AT about 10:15 a.m. I saw my first Barn Swallow fly into our barn. I have been following their journey north on this site. I have been anxiously awaiting their return; almost as much as my Robins, Finches, Orioles and Hummingbirds. Our barn has been vacant for about 10 years, except for storage and the Barn Swallow nests. I enjoy taking our grand-children in the barn to see the little swallows packed in the nests with their cute little beaks hanging out. I also enjoy watching the Swallows glide through the air while I'm out in the garden or cutting the lawn.
