In our school garden, we noticed that common milkweed and butterfly weed were coming up. They are about 2 inches tall. We have seen several butterflies, with some possible sightings of monarchs. (We won't report till we're absolutely certain.) We have seen eastern tiger swallowtails, zebra swallowtails, black swallowtails, red-spotted purples, azures, and more.
