Our bright red tulips have begun to bloom just 10 days after the last snow fell. We are all excited since this is our first year with Journey North and we weren't sure if our tulips would bloom or not. They are in a bed under our flag pole and the red of the tulips makes the flag look even better.

The kindergartners check the bed everyday and count both the numbers emerged as well as those in bloom. What fun. Can barely wait until our next sighting. We have seen the robins and are anxiously awaiting both the return of the symbolic and actual monarchs!!!!
