Our first specimens of adults have now emerged from the chrysalis stage and are on the wing (32 days after the eggs were deposited) from Clinton, MS as of this afternoon (April 25). Some of the elementary schools have also released specimens in the last day or so.
Several adults were observed nectaring on thistle and laying eggs at the Choctaw Trails site in southwest Jackson yesterday. (April 24)
