My daughter and I were driving east on I-94 when I looked up and saw a bird in flight with a very large wing span. I knew it wasn't a hawk because of the way it was flying. It seemed to glide through the air with such grace. It was flying toward us but off to the drivers side so I was able to look right up at it as it came in line with our truck. It started to turn and I was able to get a good look at his/her head and it was definitely white. I wish I could have stopped to watch it better but being that we were on the expressway I thought I'd better not.
I have been hearing about sightings in our area and even drove around the lake to see if I could get lucky with no luck by the way.
I am so happy to have seen him/her, I hope to catch a glimpse again soon.
