At last- the tulips have been up for several weeks... and following a few days of rain and clouds, we were blessed with a very sunny and warm weekend. This year's 'official' tulips bloomed on Saturday. I planted some yellow emperor tulips as well this year- and they bloomed on Saturday as well. Last year's red emperors are up but have not yet opened. My blood root is also in full flower during the daytime (it closes up in the evening)and the trilliums are up but not yet open... the maple woods are looking very spring-y now!!!
