I looked out my window 15 minutes ago, and saw a hummingbird eating from the feeder I put out 3 weeks ago. I have been changing the water constantly anticipating their arrival. It's my first yeat trying to attract them. I never realized they are the size of my thumb!!

I am off to buy more feeders now and plan on putting them closer to my window so I can watch them and buy outdoor flowers that are already in bloom. I saw Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers last October 2006 around my window, so figured hummingbirds could also be attracted. I have yet to see the Sapsuckers. What do they eat that I can put out?
