One of the students from Columbus Academy saw a Monarch when he was helpng his parents do yard work. It was sitting on the apple tree blossoms.

Confirmed: Sorry for the delay but I was checking on the validity of our sightings with parents and the students again.
I do believe the report is accurate. Our students have worked quite a bit with Monarch with rearing them, tagging, and planting a butterfly garden and their milkweed garden. Also that day I checked with Sarah Dalton, who is a naturalist near us who has worked with Monarch for many years and has reported in the past the first Monarch butterfly in the Columbus area, of whether to report this to you and she thought I should.
