I realize I seem very far behind here in Ponca City, Oklahoma on spotting ANY Monarchs headed North. It's a mystery to me just why we rarely see more than a handfull of the flutter-byes at this time of year, especially in comparison with the Fall migration.
Today, I was lucky enough to spot TWO adults headed North. The second one did a short performance for me in the back yard...fluttering all around and doing what I presume to be the Monarch Mambo or something close to it. These two may be the only ones I spot this Spring. We'll see.
