Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/11/2007

Number: 1

I have been following the hummingbirds' northward progress through the information on this web site. I was finally rewarded with my first humming bird sighting tonight at around 7:30pm. I look forward to seeing the hummingbirds return to my yard each spring. They are beautiful birds that are fun to watch. I have a feeder with perches hanging close to our front window. There is a lilac bush also close to the feeder and window. After the hummingbirds perch and feed on the feeder, they often fly to lilac bush to sit for a bit.
