I am an amateur nature photographer. On May 11th, 2007 I was in Brandywine Park, next to the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware. I spotted a Baltimore Oriole high in a tree and photographed him as he was singing. When I got back to my computer to look at the digital photo I noticed a yellow and black checkered band on the bird's right ankle. I Googled the Web to see if anyone was banding Orioles, and came to Journey North. I am very pleased to be able to report this siting, and would be glad to be on the lookout for more birds.
